Health and Safety Prosecutions - Construction Sites - HSE
When there is a serious accident on a construction site, of whatever size, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) often prosecute who they say is responsible. These prosecutions, either in the Magistrates Court or in the Crown Court are serious and often complex criminal matters with very significant consequences if they go wrong.
Martin Cray has represented numerous builders, companies and individuals in defending such prosecutions, in the Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Old Bailey and given advice on Appeals.
If you think a prosecution is possible against you, taking early advice is absolutely vital.
Sometimes what is said or done at the beginning of the case (often in interview with the HSE investigators) cannot be undone.

WARNING - When you receive the letter, of possible breach of a Health and Safety duty, from the HSE - take specialist advice from a solicitor and do not even consider going into an interview with HSE without one.
